José Rodrigo Soto Bautista, known artistically as J STAXX (GT), is a DJ and producer from Guatemala City, carving his name into the global underground scene through a unique and evolving sound identity.

As a resident DJ at S1, the leading techno club in Guatemala City, J STAXX stands at the core of the country’s new underground wave ,performing at top venues like The Secret Garden and pushing Guatemala’s electronic scene toward a darker, more sophisticated direction.

His sets and productions embody dark, hypnotic, and peak-time driving techno, marked by futuristic textures, deep basslines, and precision, built grooves that reflect a deep understanding of rhythm and tension. In parallel, he also crafts tech house and minimal deep tech productions, maintaining a refined balance between groove and atmosphere across his catalog ,yet always keeping techno as his foundation.

In 2025, J STAXX achieved international recognition with “Tikal Code” and “Techno Shuttle”, both released on Overpressure Records (Italy) and charting in the Beatport Top 100 (Techno Peak Time / Driving).
